Public Relations Representative

This role is responsible for handling all planned publicity and public relations activities through the use of social media, email, and mailings. The main objective of this position is to maintain a constant presence of the organization on social media and in the community.

Skill, Attributes, and Prerequisites

 Must have a strong will to help BOT succeeded in its mission

 Understanding that Building Our Tomorrow is a Charitable Organization.

 Willingness to solicit donations and engaging in communications with local businesses and

community members to raise awareness about BOT and how to contribute.

 Interested individual must be at least 18 years of age, and graduate of high school.

 Must have some experience with social media, PR related work and minor graphic design

knowledge.

Roles and Responsibilities

 Research different statistics, stories, or images which show the positive impact of an internship

on overall growth.

 Provide input and guidance into the development of current and future publications, may it be

on social media or email newsletters.

 Provide insight into new ways to reach our target community to increase the overall support.

 Work hand in hand with the VP/ Co- VP of Fundraising to design flyers and ways to increase the

exposure in the community for various fundraising events and programs.

 Up keeping of the Facebook page, including but not limited to responding to comments,

messages from supporters.

 Actively assist in all fundraising efforts and programs implemented by the Fundraising

Committee including but not limited to marketing, personal solicitation, and volunteering time

at fundraisings events as needed.

 Work directly with the Executive Board on various projects to expand the region of operation

 Seek out new contacts, and partnerships for the benefit of the organization.
