Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: Cats Cradle Rescue

Looking for adult volunteers, who have spare time and could commit to volunteer 2 - 3 hours at a time on a regular basis to help staff the Thrift Store during the hours the store is open. Youth (14-18) are welcome to apply too! The Thrift Store is open Wednesdays through Sundays 11-5 (hours may vary by season). You can contact us via our website at www.CatsCradleRescue.org or just stop by when we are open!

Help sort and price clothing and items offered for sale in the Thrift Store and keep the sales areas of our store organized and clean. Greet customers as they arrive, explain that our store is all-volunteer staffed and our proceeds go to help local cats and kittens, help customers find items, and ensure they have a pleasant shopping experience.

Optional: Help staff Adoption Center at same location (open weekends only)

If physically able - Help with loading and unloading donated items and setting up in-store displays. We would LOVE to have some people who are knowledgeable about electronics, sewing machines, tools, organization, making minor repairs (handyman), etc.

If you have a skill or special knowledge you think would help us, please let us know! For example: Grant writing and fundraising, veterinary experience, store management experience, bookkeeping experience, organizational skills, etc.

Mission Statement

Cats Cradle Rescue is an all volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing and finding loving homes for unwanted and abandoned cats and kittens. All monies collected by CCR are applied to the feeding, medical care and neutering of current and future cats & kittens in our program. All of the animals being adopted today are rescued animals. Many are abandoned and their history is unknown. We have taken care of their immediate needs and believe them to be healthy and capable of becoming integral parts of a new, loving family. The felines taken into CCR are fostered in volunteer homes where they are loved and nurtured. Very young kittens without a mother are bottle fed by specific volunteers trained in their care. When they become affectionate, loving and self-sufficient, they are placed up for adoption.

Description

  • Kittens are given a series of three FVRCP vaccines and adult cats are given a booster.
  • All animals are spayed or neutered in accordance with California state law.
  • All cats are tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV or kittens have had a sibling or mother cat tested.
  • All cats are given a Micro-chip ID prior to going into their new homes.
  • All cats are given a safety collar and ID tag with a tag number unique to them.
  • All cats are treated for fleas and tape-worms and some have been treated for other medical conditions.
