98% of our patients live below the Federal Poverty Level ($24,500/yr for a family of 4!) We provide them with health care, but we surveyed them to see what else they needed, and they told us: jobs, food, child care, monetary assistance . . .
While we can't provide these things, we can help our patients to access them.
The Patient Resource Booth is in our large busy lobby. Volunteers direct patients to services within our 45,000 sq. foot facility AND provide them with information on all the services they said they needed, assisting them to access these services. In addition, our volunteers provide the welcoming face and smiles to all those who come in, ensuring each patient feels at home and cared about.
Volunteers work a minimum 2/hour shift 2/shifts per month. There are no requirements beyond a desire to help those in need and a friendly demeanor.
Shifts available are 8:30am-5:pm Monday -Friday.
