Do you love to visit people and make them feel important? We are in need of a volunteer in the Pulaski, TN area who would like to brighten a hospice patient's day by visiting them a few times each month. These visits are just casual, friendly visits to make our hospice patients feel important and cared for.

For the safety of our patients, we do require all volunteers to have a background check, drug test, tb skin test and have training/orientation. All this is provided to you as a benefit of becoming an Avalon Hospice Volunteer.

This is a wonderful way to get involved in your community and to enrich the remaining days of our hospice patients.

A friendly visit from a Volunteer to simply sit and talk or listen means the world to our patients. GIVE LAUGHTER, HOLD A HAND, SHARE A STORY, RUN ERRANDS, CELEBRATE HOLIDAYS, SING A SONG, THE OPPPORTUNITIES WITH VOLUNTEERING IS ENDLESS.

Description

The mission of Curo Health Services - Avalon Hospice is to honor life and offer compassion to individuals and their families when facing a life-limiting illness.

We have opened a brand new office here in Lawrenceburg and would like to extend an offer to you for our Volunteer Program. People volunteer for a number of different reasons, but mostly because it’s a way of giving back. They work on behalf of others without payment for their time and services. In return, hospice volunteers meet people, learn new skills, build relationships, make connections, and improve quality of life for others during the last phases of life.

We here at Avalon Hospice have several different Volunteer Roles in Hospice Care including; Administrative, Bereavement, Direct Patient Care, Special Projects, and Special Resources

A couple of our major programs we offer to our patients are the Hospice For Heroes and Perenity Programs.
