Chaperone a Child with an Incarcerated Parent on a Family Bonding Visit

This Christmas, the Children of Inmates project will take hundreds of children on Family Bonding Visits to 14 correctional facilities in southern regions of Florida. Would you like to chaperone one of our children and participate in the bonding activities? These activities can include arts & crafts, music, reading stories, family games, literacy activities, and helping serve a family meal. Just finished the summer dates and the ew dates begin in October 2016. Volunteers also take the children for a fun after-event when we leave the facility to help them connect to other children with incarcerated parents and let them de-stress at the end of the day. This volunteer opportunity can be a very long day, but certainly a day you will never forget. Chaperones are required to participate in an orientation background screening done by the correctional facility. This is NOT a dangerous opportunity as the inmates are always on their best behavior since we are bringing them their children to see.
