The foster coordinators are responsible for approving and setting up new foster homes throughout central MN. They will process incoming foster applications in a timely manner and hand the approved foster applications off to a placement coordinator once the foster is completely set up and has been trained in and gone through orientation. The foster coordinators will assist with special projects as needed such as posting for new foster homes and contacting old fosters who currently do not have a PC and need to go through orientation again as a lot has changed within the rescue.
The FC will also ensure that the new foster has all of their new placement coordinators information and knows who to go to with questions. The FC will also work with the other FCs to decide who is going to process which applications and work together as a team. Each FC will be supplied with general business cards, brochures, and foster and adoption folders.
