Volunteer Storyteller: Los Alamos

Santa Maria Public Library system is seeking an energetic and fun team of volunteers to run a Saturday morning preschool story time at their Los Alamos branch. A background in education or acting is preferred. Experience working with families and a knowledge of children’s literature is desired. Duties will include planning and presenting regular story times for young children ages 3-5 and their caregivers. Live Scan fingerprinting is required, and will be scheduled by the volunteer coordinator. A commitment to one year of volunteer service is desired. Training will be provided.
