Can you help immigrants learn basic computer skills? Your tutoring would be useful from 8:30-9:25 and/or 9:30-10:25 am Wednesdays?

This job is in basic writing classes. Students are learning to write sentences and paragraphs. Classis held in a computer lab so that students can also acquire basic technology skills.

You would circulate through the computer lab, helping students with, for example, logging in and out, using a mouse, clicking, scrolling, backspacing, capitalizing, and doing other basic word processing. You would aslo help with basic writing skills--capitalizing the first letter of a sentence, ending the sentence with a period, use past, present, adn future tense, have word in the correctorder, etc.

The process followed in class is that the teacher presents the lesson in segments. After each segment the teacher and lab assistant help with the skills.

Although students' first language is not English, they have to speak fluently enough to enroll in this course.
