Right now there are morning and evening choices for volunteering in adult ELL (ESL). There is a beginning level class, reading, and writing. You would work with a small group and/or help 1:1. There are many fun choices for volunteers who like helping eager adults learn.
Volunteer once a week, M-F, for an hour or more.
It is not necessary to speak another language.

Help adults acquire the skills, and provide the support, to pursue education and employment goals.
Description
Minneapolis Adult Education provides free classes in ESL, reading, writing, math, basic computer skills, and transition to work and college. Classes are available in the morning, afternoon, and evening. We are part of Minneapolis Community Education, Minneapolis Public Schools.
Volunteers participate once an week, for an hour or more depending on the class. We ask for a commitment of 3 months. Service learning has a different minimum.
