Stand inside the Jewel entrances to collect as many dollars as you can to help fund holiday dinners for PRC clients! You are working in tandem with Jewel staff who are encouraging donations too.

A great opportunity for individual volunteers, families, or clubs (up to 4 people per shift)!


What would make you a good fit for this opportunity?

  • You are comfortable greeting strangers
  • You are 16+ years old (younger children welcomed to volunteer with an adult)
  • Schedule is extremely flexible- Let us know what time and date works for you !
    • You’ll encounter the most shoppers on weekends and evenings

Hours completed in this position can count towards school-assigned volunteer hours. PRC must be made aware of this assignment prior to volunteering.

Description

Since 1975, People’s Resource Center has been bringing neighbors together to respond to hunger and poverty in DuPage County. With a team of over 1,500 volunteers, we offer nutritious food and other basic necessities like clothes and rent assistance for people facing tough times. And we connect people with resources--education and tutoring, jobs, technology, art, a caring community--to create a future of hope and opportunity for all.

Volunteer at PRC: Help in the food pantry or clothes closet, become a tutor, teach a class, organize a food drive, make a difference to a neighbor in need.
