We need people who are detail oriented, can write and speak well, are comfortable talking with people from all walks of life and want to make a difference.
We have potential clients needing services in their home such as washing dishes and windows, vacuuming,cleaning the kitchen and so on. Until they are assessed we can't determine whether they qualify for help or not.
That's where you come in. You make an appointment to vist the applicant in their home, assess how much work needs to be done, have them fill out some paperwork and write a report that allows other volunteers to go into the home and do that work.
You must have reliable tranportation, be willing to travel all around Snohomish County, be organized and have good communcation skills. This job would require you to be in the field at least once a week.
There is a short training course to get you familiar with how this job is done.

Mission Statement
The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program of Snohomish County matches skills/training and preferences of persons 55+ to available volunteer opportunities and promotes their voluntary service as a valuable community resource.
Description
RSVP matches personal interests, skills and lifelong experiences with non-profit public organizations at over 116 different partner agencies, including non-profits, throughout the county. Benefits of being an RSVP volunteer are: ~excess insurance coverage including Liability, Auto, and Accident. ~partial reimbursement for transporatation costs to and from volunteer stations, subject to certain regulations and limits. ~ongoing recognition and Annual Recognition Event to RSVP volunteers. The only agency tracking and reporting the volunteer activities of persons age 55 and older through the National Senior Corps, RSVP promotes retired and senior persons as viable members of the community, able to share their skills, time and experience through volunteer service.
