In 2001, Sharon Cox realized her dream of opening a non-profit that focused on teaching computer skills to women of domestic violence and low-income women. The Ladder Alliance offers women the job skills necessary to secure employment in today’s technological job market, eliminates barriers to attending class by providing snacks, bi-lingual, evening, and online classes. Students also earn vouchers that can used in our Success Store to purchase professional attire and haircut/blow-dry/styling are also available for every student!

Our Success Store is in need of Volunteers so that we are able to have regular shopping hours for our students. We are seeking individuals that would be available during the day 9am - 5pm and from 6-9pm, in 2-3 hour time slots. Success Store Volunteers help any of our students shoppers with finding items and getting them checked out as well as helping to short, organize and place new clothing items out on the floor. Ideal candidate is someone who can have a fairly regular schedule (i.e. Tuesdays from 11a-2p), so that we can establish store hours for our students to come up to the agency to shop, but all volunteers are welcome.
