Looking for an easy way to volunteer that still makes a BIG impact? Help us with our New Program Proposal Review Process!
We are looking for volunteers with experience in the Arts, Communications, Science, Sports, Technology, and/or Youth Development to assist with the critical task of reviewing and scoring proposals for our Summer 2017, Fall 2017, and Spring 2018 teen programs. These proposals are submitted to us by potential instructors and community-based organizations and include a synopsis of what they plan to teach, as well as accompanying activities and goals they have for the teens in their program.
This volunteer opportunity is COMPLETELY web-based and can be performed anywhere a volunteer has internet access. Each volunteer will be assigned anywhere between 3-5 proposals, and we estimate that the total time commitment to score those proposals will be approximately 3-5 hours. The review process will begin on November 9, 2016 and will go until December 2, 2016 (with possible extension to 12/9).
Prior to the review process (approximately end of October - early November), we will be sending a recorded Webinar training of our Cityspan Proposal Database and Evaluation Rubric. A separate email with a link will be forthcoming.
If you are able to help please feel free to respond with confirmation at your earliest convenience. To volunteer, everyone will have to complete our Online External Reviewer Volunteer Application Form, which should take no more than 5-10 minutes.
To learn more, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Ramon Moran, at RAMON.MORAN@AFTERSCHOOLMATTERS.ORG or 312.768.5200.
THANK YOU for your support of After School Matters and Chicago's Teens!
