The winter season can be especially difficult for families living in poverty. Parents feel pressure to create a festive atmosphere while struggling to meet basic needs. The YWCA Adopt-a-Family program helps bridge the gap - it's a fun and meaningful way to get into the holiday spirit while helping families in need!
After our Adopt-A-Family program is over, many families coming into our emergency housing need presents to celebrate the holidays, too. With donations of unwrapped toys, volunteers will help create a little toyshop for case managers to shop for the new families.
The YWCA is looking for new, unwrapped toys to feature in the Holiday ToyShop. Drop off is on December 19th and 20th between 8am and 4pm at 2301 S. Jackson St. in Seattle.
