Job summary:

Educate and engage with members of the humane community as well as the general public to promote humane treatment for all companion animals through the use of both social media platforms and contact with public.

Summary of essential functions

• Create educational posts on social media platforms

• Possible monthly blogs on educational topics

• Research topics related to animal rescue

• Create educational materials

Required Skills

• Knowledge of rescue and Rescue Me Ohio and it’s policies

• Ability to follow-through on commitments

• Excellent communication skills

• General knowledge of animal rescue, the rescue community, companion animal related issues including legislative issues in Ohio

• Ability to represent RMO and it’s stance on prominent issues

• Ability to research, verify facts/sources

• Creativity, the ability to think outside of the box

• Willingness to create awareness, reform and change for companion animals

• Public speaking ability
