Friends of PPLD

Our Big Book Sale is back, and Friends of PPLD is looking for volunteer help! We have shifts available for setting up the sale on September 30th, monitoring the sales floor on October 1st, 2nd and 3rd, and tearing it all down on October 4th.

You can volunteer for as little as two hours on a drop in basis, or sign up for one or more of our scheduled shifts.

To support, promote, and advocate for the Pikes Peak Library District’s dynamic and evolving role.

Description

The Friends of the Pikes Peak Library District was established on the 50 th anniversary of the Colorado Springs Public Library (March 11, 1955) and incorporated in 1969 as a nonprofit organization.
We support the Pikes Peak Library District by serving as community advocates, raising funds to enhance library services and programs, promoting the love of reading and books, and recirculating materials in environmentally responsible ways.

  • Must be at least 16
  • 2 hour minimum service requested, one-time commitment
  • Ability to lift book boxes helpful but not necessary for most shifts. This is an indoor event; library administration requires volunteers to wear masks covering the nose and mouth during your time of service. Thank you!
