Spend time around horses, all while providing safety and stability to an equestrian with unique challenges and disabilities
Wings of Hope Equitherapy's mission is to provide equine assisted activities to children and adults with physical, mental, and emotional challenges.
Walk with rider and horse during an hour weekly lesson to provide support and to allow the equestrian the opportunity to gain tools to use in everyday life with a disability.
No horse experience is required!
- Volunteers must be at least 14 years old.
- Physically and mentally fit- able to walk over uneven ground/sand for an hour.
- Able to effectively communicate with rider, instructor, and other volunteers.
- Commit to the same day and time each week.
- NO Horse experience required.

Description
Wings of Hope provides equine-assisted services to children and adults with unique challenges.
Through the power of a horse, individuals with disabilities have the opportunity to work through challenges facing them in daily life. Learn tools to help them work through those challenges.
Wings of Hope serves 50+ individuals weekly, ranging in the age of 3-70+, with many different disabilities.
Volunteers are the backbone of our organization, without volunteers, we couldn't serve those in our community in need.
