Our volunteers are vitally important to our hospice program. Volunteers provide emotional support to our patients and families during the last chapter of the patients' lives. The companionship/emotional support visit volunteer will visit the patients in their home and provide companionship and emotional support to them and their families. This may mean playing a game with them, reading to them, painting their nails, or just talking with them. Volunteer interaction is so valuable to our patients and families, but is just as rewarding to our volunteers, who consider it an honor to work with them.
