During these uncertain times, how can we help?
See below to access our COVID-19 Resource Hub, and to explore our growing directory of both COVID-19-specific and virtual volunteering opportunities.
Homestead Center for the Arts is an umbrella organization devoted to promoting arts and culture in the surrounding communities. HCA was established in 1976 as a virtual organization to seek out and assist local artistic talent and cultural organizations with a small annual grant provided through the county. There are almost two dozen groups such as the Chidren's Art Gallery, Community Concerts, East Everglades Orchid Society, the South Dade Woodturners Guild, the Seminole Theater, and others shown on our website. HCA helps give a voice to these individuals and groups. We are in need of up to 3 individuals who love arts and culture to help with activities such as membership growth and community outreach. We are especially in need of someone who can assist with Social Media and occasional multi-media presentations.
The commitment is attend a monthly meeting, usually held the third Monday of each month at 5:00, and work with the designated committees as arranged by the individual committees. The total time committed is generally 3-4 hours per month. Whether you're a Millennial, Gen-Xer, or Baby Boomer, we'll have something for you to engage in.
No additional volunteer opportunities at this time.
