ORGANIZATION: Hospice of the Chesapeake

This volunteering opportunity is available in a number of locations in Anne Arundel County and works around your schedule. You do not need to own any equipment to volunteer for this role. Volunteers must be at least 15 years of age.

Lawn Care Volunteers

For our patients and their families, every day can be a struggle. Maintaining a lawn can become difficult or even impossible.

Hospice of the Chesapeake is a fully licensed, community-based non-profit organization. We provide services to terminally ill patients at the place that they call home - regardless of their age or ability to pay. In order to provide the best possible service to our patients and their families, Hospice of the Chesapeake depends on the generous support from the community, key business partners, and philanthropic operations to improve the quality of life for those in our community experiencing advanced illness or bereavement.

What Kind of Volunteering Would I Do?

We need those who want to give something back by volunteering their time and skills to terminally ill patients. A tidy yard can do so much to boost the spirit of someone who is bedbound or chair bound. As a volunteer you would mow patient's yards, and ease a difficult time in their lives. You are welcome to provide other services such as weeding, weed whacking, etc.

If you want to bring a smile to a homebound patient, we have the opportunity for you.

Where Will I Volunteer?

We offer inpatient care, as well as outpatient care throughout Anne Arundel county. We will work with you to find the most convenient locations for you, as well as work around your schedule.
