Do you enjoy the visual arts and want to see them thrive? Our welcome desk volunteers serve as ambassadors for the Ankeny Art Center during our free public art exhibitions for local artists. Volunteers welcome and introduce visitors to the Art Center's event as well as provide information about art classes, the Art Center's facilities as well as other events. The ideal volunteer has a friendly and positive demeanor, enjoys interacting with people, has excellent communication skills and is interested in the visual arts.
If you enjoy meeting new people from around town, like hosting events and introducing people to the visual arts, then come and volunteer at our artist receptions! We are always looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help out at these events and we have other flexible volunteer opportunities too. Ask us about how and when you can help!
The Ankeny Art Center is a non-profit organization that provides free art exhibitions and artist receptions for the community. We provide several opportunities for adults and teens to participate in the visual arts. We offer free art exhibitions, art classes, summer camp and much more!
