The Soldiers Project (TSP) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide a safety net of psychological care for military service members and their loved ones. TSP achieves its mission through our Healing the Hidden Wounds of War program, which provides free, confidential and easily accessible psychological treatment to service veterans who has served Post 9/11 and also to their loved ones including parents, spouses, partners, friends, and children. The organization has nine chapters in seven states, including New York City, Long Island, Chicago, Pennsylvania, Wyoming, Seattle, Sacramento, Southern California and Houston.
TSP is currently seeking a volunteer to serve as Outreach Coordinator for its Philadelphia Chapter. The primary focus of this role will be to increase outreach and recruitment of volunteer clinicians to serve existing and new clients, strengthen community partnerships, and oversee client intake procedures. The position reports to the National Executive Director in North Hollywood, CA.
Key Responsibilities:
Spearhead recruitment efforts of licensed psychotherapists, marriage and family therapists, and psychologists within Philadelphia in order to increase the chapter's clinical volunteer base by 20%.
Manage outreach to community partners in the both the Veteran and Mental Health space in order to spread awareness and gain support for The Soldiers Project in the region.
Serves as public face of the organization in Philadelphia and seeks to use presence to increase community support for organization.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.
Familiarity with military culture and/or mental health community.
Good public speaker.
Experience working in community organizing, non-profit development or marketing preferred.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a time-sensitive manner and attention to detail are a must.
Required computer literacy includes email, MS Office Suite and have to ability to connect with National Headquarters remotely.

The Soldiers Project is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that has been providing critically needed mental health services to Post 9/11 Veterans and their loved ones since 2004. Our services are provided by licensed, volunteer mental health professionals to all branches of the military, regardless of discharge status or deployment. The Soldiers Project operates through eight chapters and is located in seven states including: California, Washington, Illinois, Pennsylvania, New York, and Texas. Our headquarters are located in Los Angeles, California.
