Presented by the Congress on Racial Equality (CORE-CA), the Kingdom Day Parade provides a family friendly, fun and entertaining venue for the Los Angeles community to come together to celebrate the life, legacy, and dreams of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. It is the largest celebration of its kind in the country, with over 250,000 spectators lining the parade route and over 2.5 million television viewers enjoying its live broadcast on KABC-7. Want to make a difference as a Traffic & Access Control volunteer? As a volunteer on our Traffic and Access Control team, you will be able to:

-Assist in directing participants to their respective staging areas

-Control movement and flow of the parade

-Provide access control along parade route

-Serve as parade entry Mobile Guides. (Must be able to walk the 3 mile parade route)

-Attend one training on January 3rd, 5th, or 7th.

-Assist as-needed on the date of the Parade
