Presented by the Congress on Racial Equality (CORE-CA), the Kingdom Day Parade provides a family friendly, fun and entertaining venue for the Los Angeles community to come together to celebrate the life, legacy, and dreams of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. It is the largest celebration of its kind in the country, with over 250,000 spectators lining the parade route and over 2.5 million television viewers enjoying its live broadcast on KABC-7. Want to make a difference as a Leadership & Management volunteer? As a volunteer on our Leadership Team you will be able to:

-Assist on a supervisory level on the day of the Parade

-Attend trainings on January 3rd, 5th, and 7th, 2017.

-Volunteers for the Leadership Team should be comfortable with participating in leadership roles that might include: Zone and Staging Managers, Group and Section Captains, Parade support & Logistics, Fundraising, and other positions of leadership as needed. Selected leaders will be required to attend both volunteer trainings on January 7 and January 9, 2016 plus one additional pre-parade Leadership training (TBA)

The mission of the Martin Luther King Birthday-Kingdom Day Parade of the Congress of Racial Equality in partnership with the City of Los Angeles is determined to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in the form of an Annual Kingdom Day Parade and other activities which promotes keeping his Dream alive and help to sustain his message of equality and love to all mankind.
