Removing Plants in the Forest
Help us remove non-native plants from around the Nature Center!

Montgomery Parks has over 420 parks in Montgomery Parks, and we are always on the lookout for groups like yours to come on out and get back to nature and help with various projects throughout Montgomery County!

Some of the types of projects we have include:

  • Park & Stream Cleanups, keep litter from going downstream and destroying the natural environments of our parks
  • "Weed Warrior" for a Day, remove non-native plant species to help save the forests!
  • Tree Survival Days, making sure our newly planted trees survive by placing or fixing cages around them, removing weeds, mulching and pruning.
  • Garden Days, helping fix up gardens around our nature centers or other locales.
  • And maybe an idea your group thought up that we didn't realize we needed but do!
Contact the Volunteer Services Office and we will work with you to find a good match for your team!
