Attend Specialty functions to present the colors; attend last minute requests for casket watch for volunteer funerals; attend training and meetings as required. Must be able to stand for periods of time and march in formation. uniforms provided to qualified applicants. Must be able to carry rifles or flags when necessary.

Mission Statement

we are the volunteer unit of the Palm Beach County Sheriff's office. Our Citizens on Patrol unit is the eyes and ears of our sworn officers. We also assist in administrative duties to free up personnel for important law enforcement functions.

Description

we have approximately 2,000 volunteers doing a myriad of tasks to assist the department. The largest contingent is our Citizens on Patrol unit. We also have mounted volunteers, chaplains, bike patrol, honor guard and many clerical volunteers
