The Ohio History Center's Marketing Department is looking for volunteers to assist with audience research and evaluation represent means of answering questions about the effectiveness of exhibits, educational programs, and events. Volunteers will be engaged in collection, analysis, and presentation of the data. The volunteer will acquire experience in communications, quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, and techniques of observation, as well as conducting and analyzing interviews. The position requires a commitment of 8 hours per month with occasional Saturdays to accommodate the needs of the audience to be studied.

Education and/or Experience:
Excellent communication skills and willingness to learn. Interest in related areas of evaluation, educational theory, environmental design, developmental psychology, communication theory, leisure studies, and marketing research a plus.
Ability to communicate effectively and comfortably interview adults
Basic, interest in statistics a plus
General typing skills and knowledge iPad and Microsoft Office based products
Attention to detail
Ability to memorize and follow a script
Some data collection occurs offsite and/or on weekends. Weekdays could be every week or several times per month. While weekends would be as needed.
