Thanks for considering volunteering with Encompass Health-formerly Alacare Home Health & Hospice.
This opportunity is a great way to give back to people in the Cullman community. Our Caregiver Relief Volunteers are trained and are able to provide caregiver relief to patients caregivers. Our Caregiver Relief Volunteers give caregivers of our patients the opportunity to go run errands, go to the doctor, or other daily tasks that have become difficult due to the nature and time commitment of being a caregiver at home.
We are seeking compassionate people who want to help families of those in the surrounding community. This volunteer will not be required to visit with patients by themselves until they are comfortable and feel they are up to the task.

Mission Statement
At Enhabit Home Health & Hospice, we believe hospice is not a place, but rather a philosophy of care. Our goal is to bring dignity and comfort home by offering compassionate care to patients and their families during the final stages of life.
Description
Enhabit is looking for direct patient and administrative volunteers to provide support to patients during their final months and weeks of life. Volunteers provide non-medical services and respite time for caregivers and family members. As a hospice volunteer, you will be given choices as to how much time and what types of things you want to do.
A few ways you can help as a hospice volunteer is by running errands for patients and families, playing games or reading with patients, walking and caring for family pets, or even creating a photo album of the patient and their family.
