Do you have a certified therapy dog? Bring them to visit a hospice patient!
St. Croix Hospice is looking for compassionate individuals and their furry friends to visit people affected by a life-limiting illness. Pet therapy has been shown to reduce stress, anxiety, and physical and emotional pain. We are seeking people from the Madison and Baraboo area. Visits are typically made once a week. We work around your schedule. Please contact us if you're interested in learning more about our program.

Hospice volunteers play an essential role in the hospice experience and are valued members of the hospice team. Volunteers help to fulfill the mission of hospice by improving the quality of life for people with a life limiting illness. You may choose to contribute to the hospice experience in many ways that could include, but are not limited to: friendly visiting and companionship, healing through pet therapy, running errands for patients, supporting families through loss, or administrative assistance in the office.
Your helpful Volunteer Coordinator at St. Croix Hospice will guide you through the necessary volunteer training to assure your success and confidence working with patients, families, and caregivers in this field.
At St. Croix Hospice, care and comfort are tailored to the unique preferences of our patients, families, and primary caregivers. We individualize care to ensure it is provided in a way that brings dignity, respect, and compassion to all those we serve.
