ORGANIZATION: Hoyt Arboretum Friends

Join PP&R and Hoyt Arboretum Friends to aid in the removal of ivy from the arboretum. Come out and explore the arboretum and help keep this important natural area healthy. Volunteers will hike 10-15 minutes to the work site. Come prepared to get dirty, dress for the weather, wear sturdy, closed toed shoes and bring a water bottle. Hoyt Arboretum is Portland, Oregon’s museum of living trees. Located in Washington Park, the arboretum encompasses 189 ridge-top acres accessible by 12 miles of trails. More than 6,000 specimens from around the world grow here, including more than 2,000 species. To the local community, Hoyt Arboretum represents a unique setting for recreation and learning. To the world, Hoyt Arboretum is a critical partner in global conservation and scientific research. Hoyt Arboretum relies on the support of Hoyt Arboretum Friends, a membership-based nonprofit organization working in partnership with Portland Parks & Recreation.
