This volunteer position includes organizing items provided by the Community Food Bank according to regulations set by the State of New Jersey.
- Prepare bags to be given out through The Salvation Army's food assistance program ensuring that all bags consist of breakfast, lunch and dinner items.
- Maintain and organize the inventory.
- Ensure that the pantry is clean at all times.
Food pantry is open to clients on Wednesday afternoons from 1pm-4pm. Volunteers are needed to help with distribution on Wednesday afternoons and preparation for following week on Wednesday and Thursday mornings.
Volunteer must be able to lift at least 20lbs, have good organizational skills, be able to work with a diverse group of people and be able to read.
