The Philadelphia VisionWalk is in need of volunteers to help on Walk Day! All positions are needed.
VisionWalk is a fun, family-friendly event bringing together the visually impaired community and raising money for blindness research. Help us find a cure by supporting the VisionWalk!
Positions Needed:
Registration, T-Shirt Tent, Refreshments, Kids Area - Starting at 7:00am
Route Monitors - Starting at 9:15am
Clean Up - Starting at 11:30am
About the Foundation:
To give you a bit of background, the VisionWalk is a family-friendly 5K (3.1 miles) walk-a-thon designed to raise awareness of and funds for the Foundation’s urgent mission to drive the research to find preventions, treatments and cures for retinal degenerative diseases. The Foundation holds more than 40 VisionWalks each year and, since the first Walks were held in 2006 we have raised $41million to fund sight-saving research. The Foundation's urgent mission is to drive the research to find preventions, treatments, and cures for the entire spectrum of retinal degenerative diseases. These conditions affect more than 10 million Americans and millions more around the world.
