Fun painting!

I have a a huge variety of tasks that I need help with - ranging from organizing art supplies to cleaning up to helping me plan art projects to making phone calls to computer work! We’re in the Goat Farm Arts Center in West Midtown and it's a great location! We take daily breaks to visit the goats and llamas and chickens and have coffee at the cool coffee shop!

I'm looking for a few people that can come once a week for 3-4 hours to work in our fun environment.

The first step is to fill out a volunteer applicaiton on the CONTRIBUTE page of www.drawchange.org. We'll contact you from there.

Thanks so much!!

About drawchange

Location:

PO Box 55627, Atlanta, GA 30306, US

Mission Statement

Drawchange is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to empowering children from lower socioeconomic situations through the use of art therapy-based programming. Our programs teach coping skills that foster Collaboration, Creation, Dream-building, Empowerment, Imagination, Self-Esteem, and Stress-Relief.

Description

Our vision is to provide the tools neccesary so each child has the ability to fully express themselves.

Art is a vehicle to reach out to students. Engaging them with art enriches their study with all other curriculum subjects. Our strategy is aimed to spark the energy of world peace by igniting the passion of learning in the world’s children.

In using the research based principles of integrating the arts in the general curriculum, we hope to increase self-esteem and thinking skills in children to help them become better world citizens. Wherever there is a need, drawchange wants to be there providing art supplies.
