Mission Be

Mission Be is a non-profit bringing mindfulness to schools and communities as an antidote to stress, violence, bullying and addiction. Mindfulness can be described as the practice of paying attention in the present moment, and doing it intentionally and with non-judgment. Typical activities in our mindfulness programs include interactive lessons on the science of mindfulness, compassion and empathy, guided breathing practices, role plays, affirmations, and mindful practices.

Since launching in 2013, we have successfully implemented our mindful education curriculum in over 28 schools directly reaching 7,000 students from Babylon, NY to Bali, Indonesia. We have trained over 600 educators which has impacted over 22,000 students.

We are currently looking for new ADVISORY Board Members to join our strong team of passionate individuals who will play a key role in helping Mission Be reach its goal of impacting 2,000 teachers, 150,000 students and 250 schools in the next five years.

In addition to the standard roles and responsibilities of a board member, our board members are active advocates and ambassadors for the organization and are fully engaged in identifying and securing the financial resources and partnerships necessary for our 501(c)3 nonprofit organization to advance its mission to make a difference.

Interested candidates should send an email to Osy@missionbe.org with a resume and bio. Minimum individual annual fundraising goal . Mindful practice strongly encouraged.
