Job Title:
Events and Fundraising Volunteer
Duties May Include:
- Inspect event spaces for proper set-up
- Support staff during events and assist with tear-down
- Liaise with other organizations to manage and coordinate events
- Aid in productions of marketing and promotional material
- Maintain calendar of all planned events
- Coordinate, select, and schedule volunteers to assist with events
- Inform President/CEO and other staff of possible events/scheduled events via email
- Prepare written reports on outcome of completed events
- Go out into the community and ask for donations using PALNV’s guidelines
Qualifications:
- Pleasant outgoing personality
- Able to work well with a wide variety of people
- Self-starter that can work without a lot of supervision
Training:
- Volunteer Orientation
- Comprehensive knowledge of PALNV’s Volunteer Manual
- Role playing to help with "spontaneous" speaking ability; ability to ask for a donation
- On-the-job training; working with experienced volunteers and/or personnel
Worksite:
PALNV office, local businesses, and/or event sites

As a non-profit organization, PAL needs funds to operate and to fulfill our mission to our clients and the community. Raising funds through events is a major contributor to PALNV’s budget.

Description
PALNV is a nonprofit organization focused on helping make the world around us a better, happier place for the animals that do not have homes. PALNV partners with The Animal Foundation, TNR Trappers and Colony Feeders to take in cats facing homelessness on the streets and house them in our Rescued Treasures Cat Cafe. Once they are at our cafe, our staff and fosters care for the cats and kittens, working with them to get ready for adoption. They stay with us until they find their forever homes and as our cats are adopted, we reach out to our partners to bring us more cats and kittens thus being a part of the solution to saving our community cats.
PALNV is the Nevada Affiliate for Rescue Bank, a program of GreaterGood.org. We work with 501c3 rescues, feral cat organizations and pet food pantries to provide pet food which helps the organizations so they can use their dollars for medical care, adoptions and supplies.
PALNV has been in business since 1993. The organization started in Victorville, CA and moved their operations to Las Vegas in 2014. We are now located on N Rancho Drive near W Craig Road.
Volunteers are vital to our operations here at PALNV. We continually seek to expand our programs with volunteer support. As a nonprofit organization, we rely on donations and volunteer efforts to help us achieve our goals and saving our communities at risk cats.
