This volunteer will be trained to go into hospice patients homes and provide companionship and emotional support to the patient while the caregiver steps out for a couple of hours. This volunteer will be trained to go into hospice patient’s homes and home like settings to provide companionship and emotional support to the patient while the caregiver runs errands. All required training is covered by Alacare including basic Alacare training, drug screen, background check, 2 step TB skin test and Hep. B vaccine. This volunteer will be mentored by the volunteer and community relations coordinator until comfortable and confident to be independent.

Description
