Improving the lives of Feral Cats in Central Florida through TNR

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Record meeting minutes, format minutes into PDF’s for publishing
  • Maintains all official records
  • Files legal paperwork as necessary(typically the annual corporate report only)
  • Drafts and completes correspondence
  • We will train this person if needed
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
MUST
  • Be able to work with little or no supervision and make decisions on your own
  • Be able to attend monthly board meetings held in the evenings in central Orlando
  • Believe in the CARE Feline TNR mission
RELATED SKILLS OR KNOWLEDGE:
  • Interent access - required
  • Familiarity with email - required
  • Experience serving on board of directors (especially non-profit) - preferred
  • Familiarity with Google Docs preferred but not required - we will train you

Approximate hours required is dependent on your ability to record meeting notes and transcribe into minutes, as well as the length of board meetings. Other duties require minimal time. Total time per month approx 10 hours.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to promote TNR (trap-neuter-return) as an effective means of population control for feral and un-owned community cats. Our organization provides referrals for low or no-cost surgeries, loans humane cat traps for caregivers with surgical appointments, and provides access to a wide range of resources for TNR education and colony management.

Description

CARE Feline TNR, Inc. is a non-profit organization committed to reducing the population of feral, stray and abandoned cats in Orange County, Florida through Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR).

Working in partnership with Orange County Animal Services and local spay/neuter clinics to offer free spay/neuter and vaccines for feral and abandoned cats in Orange County. Loaning traps, making appointments and providing information about the TNR process to first time trappers.
