Kaiser Hospice volunteers assist family caregivers up to 4 hours/week who are caring for a terminally ill loved one in their home. Volunteers keep patients safe and comfortable in the patient's home, while the family caregiver takes a break.

Volunteers may be asked to help with one or more of the following: spend time with patients and their families, offering support and encouragement; assist the patient/family in carrying out errands; assist hospice families with light household tasks; assist patients with their memoirs, write letters, share a good book or movie.
