Imagine living in an environment where you have limited access to family and friends. Although there are many fun and educational activities to keep our residents busy, sometimes individuals just want that human touch with others. Volunteers are needed to provide companionship to senior residents by chatting, reading books and newspapers, discussing current events. If you want to make a difference in the lives of senior residents, then you will find this to be a rewarding opportunity. Volunteers should have good interpersonal skills with an ability to relate to a diverse population. An ability to listen and speak with an understandable voice is also needed.Requirements to volunteer include:
- Completion of an online application at www.montefiorecare.org/
- 2 references (no family)
- signed photo release
- signed HIPAA form for patient/resident confidentiality
- Two-step TB screening (free at Montefiore)
- 90 Minute Orientation

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and in accordance with the Ohio Department of Health guidelines, Montefiore of Menorah Park is currently not recruiting on-site volunteers. However, letters, cards and greetings are always welcomed.
