Are you looking for an opportunity to make a positive impact in someone's life? Look no further! Avalon Hospice is seeking volunteers in the Humphreys County area to be a friend to patients who are lonely and need a friend.
Our volunteers offer companionship to a patients. Companionship volunteers offer a friendly face and a comforting presence to those suffering with terminal illnesses. Often, our patients are typically unable to leave their homes and need human compassion and social contact to bring comfort and to alleviate feelings of isolation.
Volunteers are provided training and orientation prior to going on a patient visit. For the safety of our patients, background checks and drug tests are required prior to service.

Avalon Hospice is comprised of a team of doctors, nurses, aids, social workers, chaplains, and volunteers. Our approach to hospice care considers the wide range of needs patients and families experience when facing a terminal illness.
