Looking for a way to support your community during these uncertain times? Now more than ever, YOU can make a difference! In response to COVID-19, VEAP has created a new service delivery model that ensures the health and safety of all. Our opportunities comply with current public health guidelines, don’t require experience, and are of course fun!
Open Opportunities (Ages 12+ to volunteer independently. Ages 9-11 if accompanied by an adult.):
Ensure only the best, most fresh items reach our pantry's shelves by sorting through food donations.
Assist our new drive-thru system by checking visitors in, taking their orders, and helping them load up their vehicles.
In this role you will learn new skills, make a difference and see your impact firsthand, as well as gain insight into how food and housing insecurity affects your community.
All volunteers ages 18 and older must complete a criminal background check prior to volunteering.
Shifts are typically three hours in length and begin every weekday at 8:15am, 11:15am, or 2:15pm.
Get started today! Fill out our Fast Track or Volunteer Interest Form at http://veap.org/become-a-volunteer/ or for more information contact our volunteer department at firstname.lastname@example.org or 952.955.8323.
Together, we create pathways to stronger, more hopeful, communities through access to healthy food, housing stability and supportive services.
VEAP is a basic needs and social services organization whose programs promote access to healthy foods, stable housing and transportation. VEAP’s programs are designed to address a particular need and when used together provide hope and can help avoid a financial crisis such as loss of housing, transportation or employment. Whether the hardship is from a disability, job transition, or the financial and physical stresses of aging, VEAP has been helping our neighbors in need for over 40 years in Bloomington, Richfield, and Edina.
We'll work with your schedule.
