The Congenital Heart Walk (CHW) is the only national event series dedicated to fighting congenital heart disease. In 2015, more than 50,000 walkers will gather in more than 25 cities across the U.S. with the goal of raising much needed funds to benefit cutting-edge research, patient programs, and advocacy initiatives. At the local level, walks are led by committees of passionate volunteers. The Congenital Heart Walk shows the nation how a team of inspired individuals can join together to make a difference. Funds raised will support the missions of both national nonprofit organizations who are uniting to fight CHD! Since 2010, CHW has raised more than $5 million in total.

The tasks of the day will include set-up, check-in, distribution of information, interacting with the CHD community including patients, families and medical professionals, etc. This is an outdoor event so the dress will be casual and there is parking available.

Mission Statement

One Brick creates a community of volunteers by offering fun opportunities for individuals to serve local nonprofits. We provide a calendar of volunteer and social events to help people get involved, have an impact, and have fun, without the requirements of long term commitments.

Description

One Brick is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization (Federal ID: 77-0593889) that is a community of volunteers that support other local nonprofits by creating a friendly and social atmosphere around volunteering. After each volunteer event our volunteer team invites everyone to gather at a local restaurant or coffee shop where they can get to know one another in a relaxed social setting. Additionally we host regular social events for our volunteers to connect to one another and to welcome new volunteers to our community.

We provide a flexible way for you to volunteer where and when you want.
