Knitters, Crocheters, and Knotters: Use your crafting skills to knit hats and blankets to keep our little ones snug in wintertime, or make "knot blankets" so that every patient will stay warm throughout the holiday season.
Do you belong to a community group, such as a Rotary or Lions Club, book club, sports team, alumni association or church group? Or do you have a child who is seeking a community service project for school, or is a member of the Boy or Girl Scouts?
Rally your members to start a blanket drive and collect blankets for patients! Gather a group of friends or colleagues and make the blankets together as a fun social event or team building activity. We will provide instructions, if needed. Even if you’re not a member of a group or club, you can still hold a blanket drive. We have lots of tools to help you!
Our patients love to receive a handmade blanket that was made especially for them. A warm blanket may seem lik ea small item, but it makes a huge difference for patients in cold treatment rooms. An object like this can provide a sense of warmth, safety and security for those patients who are spending the holiday season away from their homes.
