Mission Statement
The mission of V/WSSP is to respond to the needs of crime victims and witnesses throughout South Philadelphia and to foster a greater sense of neighborhood security. The agency responds both to individual needs of victims and witnesses, helping them to negotiate the criminal justice system and providing appropriate counseling and social service referrals; and to the needs of the communities in which victims and witnesses reside, providing community education regarding crime prevention and strengthening the relationship between local agencies and communities in South Philadelphia.
Description
V/WSSP provides information and support, court accompaniment, assistance with crime victim compensation and referrals to crime victims in South Philadelphia. We have an Asian Outreach Project to provide crime prevention and victim services to Asian community members.
