Do you have a caring heart, an eye for details, or experience working with people? We need all kinds of different skills to help us out with our Emergency Relief for Utility Assistance. The people who come to us for assistance are often stuck in bad situations, forced to choose between buying food for their families or paying the electric bills. Our goal is to bring hope and an understanding spirit to the folks that come to us for utility help.
We need volunteers to help us with intakes and interviews, and we also need volunteers who have an eye for numbers or details to work with us as we verify utility information, make pledges for the folks we servce, and work with utility companies.
Help us bring hope to peoples' lives and assist them as them as they start down the path towards financial stability!

Mission Statement
RISE is a faith-based, non-profit organization that works with our willing neighbors in-need on a comprehensive long-term path towards financial stability, dignity, spiritual growth, education and hope. Rise works toward faith in lasting change.
Description
RISE works in both emergency relief, and long term stabiltiy, education, and independence.
Emergency Relief: We offer grants to folks that urgently need financial assistance with rent, utilities, and/or Birth Certificates.
Education and Independence: We offer Getting Ahead classes to work with individuals as they learn how to move beyond their situations struggling with poverty. They identity new resources and services to help them attain independence and create a plan to move from just getting by to Getting Ahead.
Stability: RISE understands that significant change takes significant time and trust to develop. We continue to support and guide the Getting Ahead participants after they have graduated, providing continued educational opportunities and walking with them as they work to acheive their goals.
