Pathways is an adult learning center located in Lynn, MA. We are seeking volunteers to assist in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) classes.

Be a part of helping our students reach their goals to improve their lives in the USA.

Experienced, retired, or new educators, as well as people with no experience but a desire to help are all welcome. We provide 12+ hours of training and ongoing professional development.

We are currently in need of volunteers on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in the mornings from 9:00-12:00 and in the evenings from 5:30-8:30.

The mission of Pathways (formerly Operation Bootstrap) is to create pathways to jobs and education for lower skilled adults in Lynn and the North Shore area by providing free classes that support our students' education and career goals .

Description

Pathways (formerly Operation Bootstrap) is an adult education center in Lynn, MA, serving adults in the Lynn area by providing classes in ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages), Adult Basic Education, GED/HiSET preparation, and US Citizenship. Started in 1976, Bootstrap has served over 15,000 students over the past 40 years. The current roster of 300 adult students comes from 32 different countries around the world.
