WHO: Fun outgoing fitness instructors, with experience teaching oder adults and who are committed to leading exercise programs for adults age 50 and older. Looking particularly for fitness instructors with experience in teaching more aerobics type classes.

WHAT: Oasis is a non-profit organization with a mission to promote active lifestyles and lifelong learning for adults age 50 and older. We are looking for a few new fitness instructors who would be interested in teaching a class or two for our membership. Classes typically run 45 min - 1 hour and are either 1 day per week or 2 days per week.

WHEN: Classes typically run 45 min - 1 hour and are either 1 day per week or 2 days per week based on instructors request. Classes are typically daytime and can run between 9am - 4pm on weekdays. We are looking for fitness instructors who can teach this Spring for us, starting Feb. 1st - April 23rd with the potential of continuing throughout the rest of the year.

WHERE: Oasis at The Meadows (700 Babcock, 78201).

COMMITMENT: Lead 45min - 1 hour exercise classes 1- 2 times per week starting 2/1/2021.

We seek to positively impact their lives through partnerships to share knowledge, offer evidence- and research-based programs, conduct evaluations and adapt to meet the needs of diverse audiences.


OASIS provides educational programming and meaningful volunteer opportunities for adults over the age of 50. Classes are offered in all areas of San Antonio in the Arts & Humanities, Health/Wellness, Fitness, Consumer Interest, Computers/Technology and local interest Day Trips and Travel. OASIS has over 300 volunteers that participate in inter-generational tutoring, teaching classes, working in the office, special projects, fundraising, site coordination, and much more!
