Life is about connecting with those around us and sharing life stories. The NCSML tells stories through guided tours, engaging exhibits and interactive activities. If you are outgoing and interested in working with kids, consider becoming a School Tour Docent.
During the school year, NCSML docents connect with local and area students, help them develop critical thinking skills, and inspire them to learn more. School tours are booked for 2018 and will generally go through May of 2018.
Bring history alive by shaing a real immigrant story with 2nd graders! This is a unique and special experience only you and the students get.
School Tour Docents give tours of our immigrant house, lead activities in the classroom, exhibits and library. Staff will fully train and assist docents to make sure each docent if comfortable before leading an activity on their own. Become a docent today and make an impact on today's youth as they get to explore and learn about life long ago and the Czech & Slovak Immigration story.
