Ed ready for delivery

If you live in the Kansas City region, have a safe driving record and want to make a life-saving difference, Community Blood Center has the opportunity for you! We need Local Hospital Volunteer Drivers to deliver blood, plasma and platelets to critically-ill patients to local hospitals on periodic weekday mornings from 8am-11am. The driver will receive training, use of a company vehicle and fuel to complete the deliveries.

Local Hospital Delivery Volunteers are asked to commit to at least 6 months of service and be available for at least one 3-hour shift per month.

To become a Local Hospital Delivery Driver, we require a person to be 21 years of age, be able to lift up to 35 lbs, have a clean driving record, a Class E driver's license for MO (we will reimburse this cost after 6 months of service)/standard license for Kansas, attend an interview and orientation, participate in a ride-along and successfully pass a background screening.
