Work directly with Social Work staff and clients via the 24/7 Help-line calls and care consults. This intern will research human service agencies; work with Support Group Facilitators; assist in Early Stage program planning; document interactions.
THIS IS AN UNPAID INTERNSHIP
Time Commitment: Per School Requirements
- Positions in direct care, information and referral, education, program planning, curriculum development or community mobilization
- Professional masters-level supervisor with combined experience in gerontology, social work, and dementia care
- Opportunities tailored to students' interests and learning objectives

Serving 100 counties in North Carolina, the Alzheimer’s Association - North Carolina is here to help. We provide education and support to all those facing Alzheimer’s and other dementias throughout our community, including those living with the disease, caregivers, health care professionals and families. We are also committed to advocating for the needs and rights of those facing Alzheimer’s disease and advancing critical research toward methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure.
